At the upper level of the NFQ (National Framework of Qualifications) Irish universities are internationally recognised for their academic excellence and research quality, while major improvements in areas such as FETAC course provision ensure that courses from the lower rungs of the NFQ are well respected in the labour market and facilitate ready access to higher education.
