Hello everybody!
Welcome to the August edition of the Daycourses.com newsletter, a shaft of educational light in an otherwise extremely glum summer! Hearty congratulations to all who received a course offer on Monday, and to those who didn't, don't despair as the second round is fast approaching. The former may yet receive a better offer, while the latter may receive his or her first offer, so everybody needs to remain on the ball! Read about Course Offers and Key CAO Dates here.
Those who are facing into the Leaving Cert year can start planning ahead by taking note of the upcoming college Open Days. These dates represent a great opportunity to learn about institutions you are considering applying to.
The Daycourses.com poll continues to stir controversy, with a convincing 70% of respondents in our latest survey agreeing that bonus points should be awarded across the board for higher-level maths in order to boost interest in this economically vital subject. Education authorities take note! The stakes are even higher this month, as we ask if a return to fees is the way to go. Click here and let us know what you think…
