Gotocollege.ie - Ireland's leading resource for third level options

Welcome to the November issue of our Gotocollege.ie newsletter.

For those who have not visited the site recently we are delighted to announce the creation of a brand new design and layout for Gotocollege.ie (formerly Daycourses.com). New features include the latest Leaving Cert and Third Level education News stories and a layout that is designed to ensure a much smoother navigation process. Let us know what you think by emailing info@gotocollege.ie.

Well it’s that time of year when Leaving Cert students are mulling over those all-important CAO selections. Why not view our comprehensive list of college Open Days and go along to any that might be of interest to you – they are sure to be enlightening. Unfortunately and inevitably some students will make a poorly considered CAO selection; heed our advice on Choosing with Care and avoid becoming one of the many college students who drop out each year. Does the recession affect your CAO choice? A fascinating question, answer our Poll and let us know.

Here at Gotocollege.ie we have been very busy, as we have also created a new site that is dedicated to the hugely popular National Guide to 3rd Level & Higher Education. At Gotocollegeguide.ie you can view a digital or PDF copy of the 2008/2009 edition for absolutely nothing - ‘Christmas’ and ‘early’ are words that pop into mind!

Until next time...

Leisure, Travel & Hospitality
Ireland is internationally lauded as the Emerald Isle, full of welcoming smiles and helpful souls. The truth, in its grey glory, is that Ireland has cleverly used this reputation to create a very lucrative industry, and there’s more to it than harping on about the ‘craic’ and leprechauns… More...
Language, Media & Communications
The media industry reinvents itself more than Madonna and Kylie combined and its only permanent trait is that it will continue to grow. Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch has noted (rather hypocritically) that ‘there is so much media now with the Internet and it’s so easy and cheap to start a newspap More...
