Griffith Colleges programmes are designed to meet the needs of different groups from full-time to part-time, from short-term to long-term and from classroom to distance based. Our full-time courses are offered in the areas of Business, Law, Journalism, Secretarial and Griffith College also has a very active Continuing Education section for part-time courses. Most of our courses are fully recognised and validated by HETAC, Nottingham Trent University or other external institutions, while also enjoying parallel recognition by professional bodies such as the NUJ. Most of our day courses are available through the CAO system, while others are available by direct entry. Griffith College was established in 1974. In Cork however, the forerunner to Griffith College Cork was known as Skerry's College and was in existence since 1884 and has a proud and long tradition. The Cork campus is situated within easy reach of the city centre, and the train and bus stations.
