![]() ![]() ![]() St Patrick’s College is a College of Education, primarily specializing at undergraduate level in preparing students to teach in post-primary schools. The college is located in the picturesque town of Thurles, Co. Tipperary and has a rich history of religious and humanities education dating back to 1837. Its central location (on the main train line between Dublin and Cork and just minutes from the main Dublin-Cork motorway) makes it an attractive location for those who wish to experience college life in a smaller but more personal setting. Students benefit from a combination of dedicated staff, individual attention and a friendly learning environment. The college currently offers two full-time BA (honours) in Education degrees, in collaboration with Tipperary Institute, which prepare teachers of Religious Studies, Irish, Business Studies and Accountancy for employment in post-primary schools. St. Patrick’s College is currently developing postgraduate programmes which will provide part-time options aimed at teachers wishing to enhance their education and training. As well as offering full time academic courses, St. Patrick’s College serves as a centre for theological, pastoral and spiritual renewal in the region and continues to provide opportunities for community learning.
