School to receive gardening award

An Irish secondary school is set to make history this week by becoming the first ever amateur garden design team to win a gold medal at Bloom, Ireland's largest gardening event. The school, which won ERP's 'Design a WEEE Recycled Garden Competition', will see their design brought to life and exhibited alongside seasoned designers at Bloom from 28 May to 01 June.

The winning students will travel to Bloom on Friday 29th May to be presented with their gold medals by Trevor Sargent TD and Duncan Stewart. They will also walk away with a 'Green Voucher' to the value of €2,500 to spend making their school more energy efficient. Duncan Stewart will visit the school to advise them on their eco solution.
