About Study Skills
About Study SkillsPreparing for exams like the Leaving Cert is a pretty big task. Most of us can remember fairly well what somebody told us ten minutes ago, or something we read yesterday, but over time the information naturally fades in our memories. Revision is about keeping the information fresh and making sure it sticks somewhere in our brain where we can access it easily on exam day. The study skills listed in this section of the daycourses.com site can help aid your revision and hopefully lead to exam success. You should always remember, during the whole Leaving Cert process, that while doing well in your exams is very important, it is not the be all and end all. Sure, the CAO system is very competitive, and going to third level is crucial for many people and for many careers, but everyone involved (including students, teachers and parents) should keep their sense of perspective. Staying calm and taking things one step at a time is the key to realising your potential and achieving success in your exams. Hopefully, the study tips in this section will help make your Leaving Cert dreams come true!
