Work placements available in Sage Ireland

Sage Ireland is committed to delivering an excellent experience to all customers. To achieve this goal, the company is piloting a new customer service and need extra resources. The purpose of this new service is to ensure that Sage Ireland's reception is run smoothly including covering a busy switchboard, meet and greet visitors and general administration support.

What will the Work Placement involve?

• Ensuring our busy switchboard is answered in a pleasant prompt and efficient manner
• Greeting visitors at Reception
• Supporting your colleagues as required
• Demonstrating professionalism and the appropriate attitude towards both the customers and colleagues
• Administration and ad-hoc duties as per business needs

Do I need experience?

• Receptionist/switchboard experience desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• Customer Service experience desirable
• Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word and excel experience required

What Skills & Behavioural Competencies do I need?

• Evidence of a good telephone manner and excellent communication skills
• Aptitude for dealing with the public, customers, employees
• Ability to resolve problems and take initiative
• Flexibility/adaptability to operate effectively under pressure

What is the duration of the Work Placement?

Ideally Sage would like for the successful applicants to join as soon as possible. The duration of the Work Placement may be 3 months, but may be longer depending on the success of the pilot initiative.

If you are successful in your application you will be required to register with the FÁS Work Placement Programme. The Work Placement Programme offers you an alternative if you have been unable to find paid work. If you secure a placement with Sage you have an opportunity to keep your skills fresh in a real work environment so that you will be better positioned when applying for your next paid job. To be eligible to retain your social welfare payments, you must have been unemployed and in receipt of some form of social welfare payment for at least three months.
